What is the Lash Lift?
The Elleebana Lash Lift is a semi-permanent treatment that gives your natural lashes an illusion of perfectly curled lashes with added definition, it enhances your natural lashes, making them appear fuller and longer. It is a great alternative to eyelash extensions, as it requires very little maintenance and has long lasting results. Like old-school perms from the '80s, lash lifts set the shape of your natural lashes using a chemical solution. Historically, lash perms used tiny curlers on your lashes along with a strong solution. The lash lift has come a long way since then; each lash is lifted one-by-one at the root, which allows them to look longer and, well, lifted! The solution is designed to be more nourishing for your lashes.
A lift is essentially what your lash would be doing with a really good mechanical curler, so giving a nice shape upward and a realistic curl. A lash lift typically lasts 8-10 weeks but can vary from person to person. There is no need for any maintenance appointments in between but you will need to have the process repeated every 6-8 weeks to lift the new hair growth.
There is no preparation necessary.
The only thing that we recommend is if you want a more dramatic result, then going on something like a lash serum to grow your lashes as long as possible is a great option, but we can work with any lash type.
What is the process?
1. Your lashes are glued down to a silicone shield.
2. The lifting lotion is applied to the root of the lashes & left on for couple minutes. The lifting lotion acts as a softener that's going in and softening the bond of your hair so that it's moldable
3. A setting solution is applied and processes for couple minutes. This step hardens everything back up and restructures the bond and makes them hard again, essentially locking in the shape.;
4. A colored dye (tint) is applied to the upper and lower lashes to enhance and darken the natural lashes to make them appear fuller and longer.
What should I avoid after my lash lift?
Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours. Avoid steam rooms and saunas; overall, refrain from all heat. After 24 hours, you may go about with your daily routine. The Elleebana Lash Lift has no restrictions or maintenance like eyelash extensions.
What is Lash Tint?
The lash tint gives your lashes a long-lasting mascara effect without the hassle of smudging, running, or clumping lashes. A lash tint is also great for those who have naturally light colored (blonde, gray, light brown) lashes.
